Computer-Aided Design, Certificate

The Computer-Aided Design Certificate program is for students who are preparing for a career in construction, architecture, geo-spatial technologies, manufacturing, and other industries requiring computer-aided drafting and design skills. 

Program Outcomes:

  1. Students will demonstrate knowledge and use of a 3D parametric computer-aided drafting and design software used for a variety of mechanical drawing techniques.
  2. Students will be able to apply (i) principles of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and (II) manufacturing methods.
  3. Students will utilize basic knowledge and familiarity with industry codes, specifications, and standards such as ASTM, ASME, ANSI or others.
  4. Students will demonstrate proficiency in CAD by applying program-level skills and knowledge in comprehensive design projects.
