HUM-102 Foundations in the Humanities

Death. Love. Nature. Fear. No matter the time or place, certain ideas have fascinated us and inspired us to create. This course invites students to engage in the critical examination of cultural artifacts as expressions of the human experience. HUM-102 students will study historically significant works in various fields, including painting, sculpture, architecture, theater, film, dance, music, history, literature, and philosophy. Throughout the course, students will hone analytical skills, develop informed personal responses to artifacts and themes, and express their own unique understanding of the human experience through the creative process. * Art/Humanities Approved General Education Course.
