MAT-095P Foundations of Reasoning for College Success
This course is only available for concurrent registration with
MAT-115P or
MAT-116P. It is a supplemental course intended for students requiring foundational skills development in preparation for a reasoning intensive general studies mathematics course. Foundational skills and critical thinking are developed through the study of experimental design, data collection, graphical representations of data, sampling methods, summary statistics, and introductory probability. Terms, symbols, and basic operations of statistics, probability, sets, logic, or personal finance may be introduced. Credits earned in developmental courses do not count toward graduation requirements and do not transfer.

Take
SDV-089 (students who have previously completed college coursework are exempt from needing
SDV-089); AND
RDG-095 or appropriate score on the placement test; AND
MAT-115P or
MAT-116P.
