MUS-201 Theory of Music I

An introduction to the fundamentals of music and harmony, the course develops both written and aural skills for the student of music. Scales, intervals, triads and their inversions, harmonic progressions, and rhythm and meter are among the subjects presented. The course covers harmonic, melodic and rhythmic dictation, and elementary score-reading.
