EDU-211 Introduction to Special Education

This course provides an overview of the historical foundations of special education and the inclusive education movement. It examines special education legislation, the process of identifying exceptional children, and eligibility criteria. The diverse needs of special education students are considered along with methods of meeting these needs through research-based instructional and environmental adaptions.
