DHY-116 Dental Pharmacology

This course is designed for the dental hygiene student to study the basics of pharmacology and systemic rationale for drug usage. Topics include drug names and categories associated with body systems, principle action of drugs, drug interactions with the oral cavity, dental disease, and herbal remedies.

Acceptance into the Dental Hygiene program; AND take DHY-101, DHY-102C, DHY-104, and DHY-108.

Corequisite

Take DHY-110, DHY-111C, DHY-112, and DHY-113.
