ELL-095P Writing Strategies for English Language Learners College Success
This course provides instruction in writing, reading, and critical thinking to support success in
ENG-101EP. Fundamentals of college-level composition are addressed. Areas of concentration may include, but are not limited to, studentship strategies, annotating & notetaking, paragraph development, critical thinking, grammar & mechanics, and essay structure & organization. Credits earned in developmental courses do not count toward graduation requirements and do not transfer.

Take
ELL-090 or appropriate score on the placement test; OR a writing sample.
Corequisite
Take
ENG-101EP; AND
RDG-095 or appropriate score on the placement test; AND
SDV-089 (students who have previously completed college coursework are exempt from needing
SDV-089).
