PHS-103 Intro to General Physical Science

This course is an introductory non-laboratory science course that applies the basic principles of physics for students in multiple disciplines including allied health, technology, or any other program that requires a basic understanding, but not high-level physics content. Topics include an introduction to the scientific method, measurement, conversions and dimensional analysis, physical properties and relationships of matter, motion and energy. Basic concepts of electricity, magnetism, sound and light waves will also be covered. Students will not get credit for both this course and PHS-104. *Biological/Physical Science Approved General Education Course.

Prerequisite

Take RDG-095 or appropriate score on the placement test; AND MAT-090, MAT-095, or appropriate score on the placement test.
