PHS-104 General Physical Science With Laboratory

This course is an introductory laboratory science course that applies the basic principles of physics and chemistry for students in multiple disciplines including the AAT in Education programs, applied health, technology, or any program requires a basic understanding of the physical sciences. Topics include the: 1) scientific method, measurement, precision/accuracy and dimensional analysis; 2) physical and chemical properties of matter, density, specific gravity; 3) motion, energy/work, flow & pressure; 4) basic electricity, magnetism, sound and light waves. Students will not get credit for both this course and PHS-103. * Biological/Physical Science and Lab Approved General Education Course.

Take RDG-095 or appropriate score on the placement test; AND MAT-090, MAT-095, or appropriate score on the placement test.
