DEN-108 Head, Neck, and Oral Anatomy

his course is designed for the first semester dental assistant students. The topics include anatomy of the teeth and dental nomenclature, the development, eruption, function, and morphological characteristics of the human deciduous and secondary dentition and a review of the bones and muscles of the orofacial complex. The examination of the temporomandibular joint and function, and dental occlusion classification will complete this course.

Take RDG-095 or appropriate score on the placement test AND MAT-090 MAT-095 or appropriate score on the placement test.

Corequisite

Take DEN-108L. Take BIO-116, DEN-101, DEN-104, and DEN-107.
