ENV-201 Fundamentals of Environmental Science

ENV-201 is an interdisciplinary course in Environmental Science. Students will be introduced to the fundamental concepts in environmental studies, with specific emphasis on the interdependent relationships between humans and the natural world. They will also examine how those interactions impact and influence the environment and ultimately the health and well-being of humans and all living species. Topics of study include ecology, biodiversity, population growth, land use, waste, pollution, energy, and sustainable agriculture.* Biological/Physical Science and Lab Approved General Education Course.

Prerequisite

Take RDG-095 or appropriate score on the placement test AND MAT-095, MAT-090, or appropriate score on the placement test or instructor consent.

Corequisite

Take ENV-201L (LAB) with ENV-201.
