POL-206 Comparative Politics

This course examines the field of comparative politics, encompassing both theoretical approaches and examinations of current political systems operating around the world. Students learn about the variety of ways that societies organize themselves politically, including both democratic and non-democratic institutions. The emphasis is on understanding factors that operate in societies that encourage some forms of political organization over others.
