2025-2026 Academic Catalog

Arts and Sciences, A.A.

The Associate degree in Arts and Sciences is designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year institution with a concentration in either arts and humanities or math and science. Following admission to the college, students should consult with an advisor to design a program of study that meets their transfer needs. This program is suited best to students who do not know what their precise major will be after transfer.

Program Outcomes:

  1. Apply critical thinking and interpretive analysis to examine and respond to real-world human experiences and cultural texts.
  2. Convey concepts from disciplines across the Arts & Sciences to a variety of audiences using effective written, oral, and visual formats.
  3. Utilize approaches to academic inquiry to formulate interpretive questions, evaluate diverse sources of evidence, and construct well-reasoned conclusions.
