ART-217 Printmaking II

Printmaking II is an advanced printmaking class that further develops the skills and techniques introduced in Printmaking I. Through a series of lectures and studio exercises, students will deepen and expand their working knowledge of printmaking processes including relief, intaglio, collagraph, and monoprint. Weekly critiques and art historical research assignments will provide students with the opportunity to develop and communicate specific knowledge gained from each project and develop critical thinking skills. Students will build a portfolio of creative and diverse works. Students are required to submit a minimum of one work for exhibition in the Student Art Showcase which occurs at the close of the semester.
