ART-101 Introduction to Visual Arts

This introduction to the visual arts gives insight into the relationship of art and culture. While this course introduces major styles and artists, it is not strictly an art history course. The course seeks the answer to the question of how one perceives art. The role art has played in the past and how the past informs the ever-changing present is examined. Slides, films, and field trips enrich the experience. * Arts/Humanities Approved General Education Course.
