ART-104 Painting I

This is a foundation course in the materials and techniques, as well as formal and expressive considerations, in relation to representational painting. Emphasis is placed on color theory, pictorial space, and composition. Studies include still life and the human figure. Water-based paints are used. Students will produce a portfolio of paintings.
