IST-151 PC Tech: Operating Systems
This course provides installation, configuration, support, and troubleshooting of PC desktop, laptop, and mobile device operating systems. This course also prepares students for the  CompTIA A+ Core 2 220-1002  exam. Topics include hardware requirements for installation, upgrades, customizing the user environment and memory, installing software, troubleshooting the boot process, recovery from OS crashes, and preparing mobile devices for end users. The fundamentals of introductory networking topics are taught from an operating system perspective by adding devices to a network and using troubleshooting tools. Â
