IST-154 Networking Basics

Have you ever tried to go to a webpage but get an error indicating that the page cannot be found? Or perhaps, you try to connect to a WiFi network but it isn't working?  What's going on when you try to print something to a network-attached printer but nothing happens? This course will teach you how to create and troubleshoot a wired and wireless network. You'll learn about network switches,
routers, and access points and the key roles they play in networks as well as why IP and MAC Addresses are important. You'll learn how, by typing hagerstowncc.edu into a web browser, it shows HCC's web page, and why entering hcc.edu doesn't. This course also helps prepare you to pass the CompTIA Network+ industry certification exam.
