Community Health Concentration, Exercise Science and Health, A.S.

Exercise Science and Health introduces students to the factors affecting personal health and community health practices as well as the strategies used to improve health. The Community Health Concentration focuses on those factors that impact current public health conditions, such as substance abuse and communicable disease. Students will analyze health behavior theory and the effectiveness of strategies used to improve health conditions in the community. The program includes a review of educational programming provided by the private sector, national and local health organizations, and the schools.
