History Concentration, Arts and Sciences, A.A.

The History Concentration program is designed for those students who are planning to transfer to a four-year degree program in history or a related field. Program requirements include general education courses and the history survey courses required in order to advance to upper division coursework at most four-year programs in History.

Program Outcomes:

  1. Students will be able to identify important themes and trends in history appropriate to the college level.
  2. Students will be able to interpret evidence of historical events/conditions to determine their credibility and apparent significance.
  3. Students will utilize a variety of historical frameworks to discuss, present or evaluate evidence of historical conflicts, accommodations or other expressions of the human condition in organized and creative forms.
