Psychology Concentration, Arts and Sciences, A.A.
The Psychology program provides a sequence of courses for students who plan to transfer into upper division programs in psychology. This program includes electives in anthropology, economics, world languages, geography, history, human services, political science, psychology, math, and sociology. Students should identify an intended transfer institution as early as possible and complete appropriate courses.
Program Outcomes:
- Students will apply basic research methods in psychology.
- Students will differentiate basic psychological terminology, concepts, and theories as they relate to behavior and mental processes.
- Students will demonstrate communication skills related to the discipline.
- Students will recognize ethical standards in psychology.
- Students will identify the influences of contextual, biological, and sociocultural factors in shaping human thought and behavior.
