2025-2026 Academic Catalog

Graphic Design Technology, A.A.S.

The Graphic Design Technology A.A.S. program provides training for a variety of careers in visual communication and graphic design. This A.A.S. program is a career degree, preparing students for the workforce after graduation. However, students can opt to transfer to a four-year program rather than start a career, but should confer with advisors and transferring institutions for specific requirements.

Program Outcomes:

  1. Students will have applied software and hardware skills to solve introductory visual design problems typically found in a visual communications program.
  2. Students will create a portfolio plus a digital portfolio site that demonstrates mastery of visual design and communication skills.
  3. Student will be able to compose and or implement a "design brief" which explains the project, what they were trying to achieve and how they have accomplished this using the language of a graphic designer.
  • View the Graphic Design Technology Fact Sheet for faculty contact information and additional program information.
